Jean Tirole
The French economist
Jean Tirole won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics Science for his
microeconomic research investigating how large firm should be regulated in
order to prevent consumer being damage by their monopolistic behaviour. In his
research he told how railways, national highways and telecom sector can be
protected from the dominance of large firms. Tirole, 61 works in Toulouse
University in France.
